Family Violence Against Immigrant & Refugee Women Training - Participant Input and Recommendations Your input is requested. Through the Family Violence against Immigrant & Refugee Women: Community Development Strategies project, the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) provided a series of workshops across Toronto for immigrant service workers during the last 3 years. The project also included access to online self-directed training. Over 400 participants attended the workshops and the online self-directed training. OCASI will now offer this training through an eLearning, facilitated format. This means that the content from this training as well as content from OCASI's earlier prevention of violence against immigrant and refugee project, will be combined into one online facilitated course. Content would be divided into 4 or 5 manageable modules and would be facilitated by an online instructor. As part of this new project OCASI will also develop and maintain an online, Ontario-wide, Community of Practice with service providers, students and volunteers. The purpose of this online network is to create a facilitated space to share issues, learnings and best practices related to violence against immigrant and refugee women in Ontario. The objective of this survey is to obtain feedback from participants that attended the workshops and the online self-directed training regarding the usefulness of the training as well as recommendations for the new facilitated training and Community of Practice project. OCASI is currently in the planning and development stages of the network, and values your input to help shape its structure and functions. Please take a few minutes to provide us with your feedback and insights, thank you. |
