This course creates a shared base of knowledge that will build the capacity of the settlement sector to recognize and respond to situations of gender-based violence in a way that meets the unique needs of newcomer, immigrant, and refugee communities.
We recommend it for those who work in the settlement sector at all levels of staff, including front-line staff, managers, and directors. Because the course deals with complex subjects related to supporting newcomer, immigrant, and refugee survivors of gender-based violence, we also recommend the course to people who work in the anti-violence sector, including front-line staff, managers, and directors.
Finally, we recommend the course for any other interested service providers who work with newcomers, immigrants, and refugees, or those who want to learn more about gender-based violence.
This course is a free, 15-hour, self-directed course that you have 6 weeks to complete.
